Who I am
Mom on the Mother Road is a blog written about my adventures in travel, motherhood, married life, local events, and more. Thanks for checking it out!
Sponsored Posts and Compensation
This blog accepts forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, and other forms of compensation. I am also sometimes compensated to provide my opinion on products, services, and various other topics. Even though I receive compensation for some of my posts or advertisements, I always give my honest opinions on those topics or products and I only give my opinions and reviews on products that I think my readers would truly benefit from. I always disclose at the beginning or end of a post if it has been sponsored in any way or if it includes affiliate links. If it does not include a disclaimer, it’s not sponsored – I frequently share about things I love without seeking compensation. I never accept guest posts that have been written by a company seeking promotion to appear on my blog – if you see it on here, it’s coming from me. Just to tell you how serious I am about this, I turn down multiple offers for sponsored posts or guest posts every month (sometimes every week) because I want this blog to provide only the best content for my readers.
Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question.
Cookies (and other not-so-edible things)
I use Google Analytics and Google AdSense on this site. Basically, what that means is that targeted ads may appear to show you things you’re interested in and cookies are used so I can know (in general) who my audience is, how many visitors and page views I have, etc. I wish I could give you a chocolate chip cookie in return, but I probably don’t know you so that would be weird anyway. If you’re using my site, you’re consenting to the use of cookies and having targeted ads placed on the pages. Here’s more information on what all of this means straight from Google. I know that’s not everyone’s cup of tea, so here’s the good news: if you don’t want targeted ads to appear or analytics information to be sent to Google, all you have to do is change your settings on your web browser! It’s different for each browser and operating system, but a quick internet search should help you find instructions if you’re not sure how to do it with the software you use.
If you leave a comment (which I LOVE to read!), the information you provide (including your name, e-mail address, and IP address in order to be able to automatically filter spam comments) is stored indefinitely but is not used for any other purpose or by any other person.
I never sell or give away any personal information you provide. Ever.
