I’ve got three other parts to this series on places to escape the crowds at Disney World! Make sure you check out my posts about Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and even more places to chill at the Magic Kingdom! And if you’re looking for the best places to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks (NOT in front of the castle) I’ve got you covered too!
Why We Need A Place to Chill
Because I’m at the parks so often, it’s rare that I discover anything new at Disney. Still, I love to keep an eye out for the little changes. A couple weeks ago, Jon, Graham and I went for a random Sunday visit after church. Sunday mornings are usually a favorite time of ours to visit The Mouse because the parks are less crowded. Unfortunately, this also happened to be Valentine’s Day AND Presidents Day weekend, so the Magic Kingdom was. packed. We snagged some Fast Passes and moved the times around so they were back to back.
How We Found It
While we waited for our reservation to ride Dumbo, we strolled around Storybook Circus and found a hidden gem. Y’all, it was an oasis in the middle of the bustling park. It’s an area between the Fantasyland train stop and Pete’s Silly Sideshow under a big top tent that doesn’t even get a number on the map. This is part of why it’s so awesome and quiet. It’s shaded, but open air, and there are chairs, tables, and CHARGING STATIONS (can I get a hallelujah?!). This place is awesome.

The next time you need a few minutes away from the crowds, search for this little area and take a minute to breathe.

What hidden gems have you found in the Disney parks?’

I had completely forgotten this hideaway existed! Thanks for the reminder; we’ll have to stop by there next time we’re out at the parks together 🙂
Definitely! Any down time at the parks is gold!
Graham is an excellent map reader. He has mad skills!

Haha, he’s going to be a good little explorer someday soon! Baby Explores Orlando 😉
That is a great spot! I remember when we first stumbled on it. We tend to pack our kid’s lunches and can go there for some space to eat and recharge…figuratively and literally 🙂

We just went a couple weeks ago and they had taken out the couches! Oh my goodness, was I surprised! Hoping they were just working on cleaning them or something so there will still be plenty of comfortable places for people to sit!
This is awesome!! I feel like so many first-time Disney goers need to know about more spots like this. It can be so helpful on a long day with little ones! Thanks for sharing!
